Scotty Middleton committed to Ohio State on Sunday, becoming the first five-star recruit in the Chris Holtmann era.
Middleton picked the Buckeyes over Seton Hall and UConn.
Middleton is currently ranked No. 18 in the ESPN 100 for the 2023 class.
The small forward is the highest recruit for Ohio State since D'Angelo Russell in 2014.
"Scotty is one of the most competitive players I've coached," said his high school coach Luke Barnwell. "He has a high basketball IQ and is an elite on-ball defender. He has worked to become an efficient shooter and scorer."
The NCAA cleared Abramo Canka to join UCLA for next season.
Canka averaged 10.9 points and 3.7 rebounds for Lokomotiv Kuban in the Russian Superleague.
Canka has also played for the Italian national team at various age levels.
"We are really excited to add Abramo to our program this season," Bruins coach Mick Cronin said. "Playing in Europe, Abramo is a versatile player who can shoot the ball, rebound and pass."
Kwame Evans announced his commitment to Oregon on Tuesday.
Evans is currently ranked as the No. 2 player in the 2023 class in ESPN's 100.
Evans, who currently attends Montverde Academy, selected the Ducks over several schools, including Arizona, Auburn and Kentucky.
The 6-foot-9 forward is the Ducks' second commit for the 2023 class after Jackson Shelstad.
Chris Johnson announced his commitment to Kansas for the 2023 class.
Johnson, who will transfer to Montverde Academy for his senior season, is currently ranked as the No. 24 player in ESPN's 100 for 2023.
Johnson selected the Jayhawks over several schools, including Arkansas, UCLA, Alabama, and Ole Miss.
"Johnson is a hard playing perimeter prospect with explosiveness," according to ESPN's Paul Biancardi. "He scores in a variety of ways inside the arc. I'm really impressed with his body balance and control once he gets into his jumper or at the rim. On his drive and finish game he displays both straight-line and change-of-direction attacks."
Johnson is the first commit for Kansas' 2023 class.
Ugonna Kingsley-Onyenso announced his commitment to Kentucky on Monday, picking the Wildcats over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Tennessee.
The center will also reclassify into the 2022 class.
Kingsley-Onyenso was ranked as the No. 35 player in the ESPN 100 for the 2023 class.
"He scores best inside finishing lobs, drop-off passes and rolling to the rim," analyzed Paul Biancardi of ESPN. "What makes his potential so intriguing are his developing touch and scoring moves. The next steps are to improve with his back to the basket and then get a short face-up drive and jumper against a set defense."
Aden Holloway announced his commitment to Auburn on Monday.
Holloway, who is ranked No. 26 in ESPN's Top 100 for the 2023 class, chose the Tigers over Tennessee.
"Auburn's style of play was attractive," Holloway told ESPN. "Auburn plays with freedom and at a fast pace. Coach [Bruce] Pearl told me not to look at him after a mistake. He wants you to play through your mistakes and move on to the next play."
Holloway is Auburn's first commit for the 2023 class.
