Chris Tomasson of the Akron Bracon-Journal reports that there are a couple more players being eyed by the Cavaliers. Carlos Rogers and Rodrick Rhodes will be invited to come to the Cavs training camp next month in Houston. Rogers will want some sort of guaranteed money before he signs with a team but he would definitely look forward to playing for Cavs coach John Lucas. ``I'd follow Coach Lucas anywhere,'' Rogers said.

In related news, the Cavs got a surprise yesterday when free-agent forward Chris Gatling unexpectedly showed up at Gund Arena. Gatling worked out with strength and conditioning coach Stan Kellers. But don't read anything into that. The Cavs still do not have any plans to re-sign Gatling. They're looking at possible sign-and-trade deals in which they could get something in return. Miami is a possibility, but Heat officials aren't sure if they want Gatling.
