Greg Couch of the Chicago Sun-Times puts his spin on the Michael Jordan third comeback saga.  ''In April, he said he was 99.9 percent sure he wasn't going to come back. And we should have known right then: Michael Jordan was coming back.'' writes Couch.  ''His career seemed to end perfectly with the Bulls, hitting the last shot to win a championship. Now, his team doesn't figure to make the playoffs and his body doesn't figure to hold up. And there are so many younger, faster stars out there. Allen Iverson. Kobe Bryant. Vince Carter.''

While many think Couch is right, there are many waiting an anticipation for Michael Jordan to send that fax to the NBA head office, which could happen as soon as today.  NBC, which has scheduled 0 Wizards games this season, and TNT, who have scheduled 1, are planning to show 10 and 15 Wizards games respectively should MJ return, giving the world 25 looks at Jordan this coming season.  Nike, Gatorade, MCI and Hanes are are also looking to cash in on advertising.

But will Jordan's body hold up?  After breaking two ribs, tendinitis in both knees and back spasms many are not sure.  But on a team that figures to be one of the worst in the league, even with him, this may not be pretty...
