Entering his 12th NBA season, Hill anticipated playing his first pro game in his hometown of Cincinnati ever since the Cavs acquired him from the Sixers in a trade over the summer.

Not only would Hill finally play at home but he'd play on the college campus that he helped put on the basketball map. Hill was thrilled but he's now disappointed, thanks to the nagging back spasms that have kept him sidelined throughout training camp. Hill will miss this trip.

"I had a chance to go back to my city and back to the campus of a program I helped build," Hill said. "It was going to be like old times with me against Kenyon Martin [who went to rival University of Cincinnati]. Not being able to play there is frustrating."
