nd you thought Michael Jordan only made Patrick Ewing's life miserable.

Mark Jackson is also from the Jordan generation and a charter member of that fraternity of players whose NBA title hopes were often derailed by Jordan's greatness.

Jackson's history with Jordan predates all of his Knicks teammates, as well as Jeff Van Gundy. Jackson has appeared in four playoff series against Jordan dating as far back as 1989.

He tried it with the Knicks and Pacers and was even involved in a pair of Game 7's. But each time Jackson was on the losing end.

"I can remember thinking about how we were actually, in our opinion, the best team in the league and we had the Chicago team on the ropes, on our way to the Finals," Jackson said of the '92 Knicks losing a second-round series in seven games.
