OK, so they weren't going to win them all, anyhow.

It's just how the Nets lost for the first time this season Friday night, a 102-88 thrashing by the Pistons.

They lacked energy, getting beat down the floor and yielding easy Pistons breakouts for at least three baskets during a first half in which they trailed by as many as 22.

They also lacked continuity in their halfcourt offense, settling for far too many jumpers and committed a season-high 22 turnovers.
