In terms of statistics, there's next to nothing that separates the Celtics' scoring tandem of Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker from the Lakers' 1-2 punch of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. The two highest-scoring duos in the league last season are within two-tenths of a point of each other for the league lead again this season.

But numbers don't always tell the entire story. In this case, the Celtics are far more vulnerable to offensive droughts than the Lakers. It's strictly a matter of size, positions and playing styles.
