It was easy for Cavaliers coach John Lucas to not play Andre Miller on Thursday. The Cavaliers were in Dallas, and Miller was 1,000 miles away in Cleveland.

Tonight, the Cavs have a home game against Philadelphia. It will not be easy to keep Miller off the court.

``He'll work me good,'' Lucas said.

Miller, a point guard who dislocated his right shoulder Tuesday at Houston, is listed as questionable. Miller was limited in practice yesterday, and Lucas said he'll decide after this morning's shootaround whether he will play against the 76ers.

Not surprisingly, Miller, whose streak of 185 consecutive games played came to an end when he missed the first game of his three-year career Thursday, wants to play. He said he no longer feels any soreness.

``Coach has the final say,'' Miller said. ``I think I'm healthy enough to play. If there's a problem, then I'll go to Coach and say, `I don't feel right.' ''

Don't expect that to happen. While with the Cavs, Miller has been as resilient as Gumby. Bend him any way, and he always snaps back into shape.

``He's as tough as nails,'' said Cavs guard Wesley Person.
