The Pistons' biggest enemy right now might be human nature.
They allowed themselves to do what comes naturally after tasting a bit of success -- they relaxed.
"You know, we won a couple of games," power foward Ben Wallace said. "Then we played a couple of games close and won without playing that good, hard defense. And I think that caused us to slip. We relaxed and started thinking we could just outscore teams. That's not who we are."
The struggling Golden State Warriors provided the cold slap in the face Wednesday in the form of a 101-88 thumping.
Here's the reality the Pistons awoke to: They have lost three straight games and face two more challenges on this five-game West Coast trip -- back-to-back against Portland tonight and Seattle on Saturday.
