SALT LAKE CITY - If you're reading the tea leaves and thinking Randy Brown's playing career may have met an untimely end, don't look for any great reward to the Celtics.

The amount the club could get if it goes through the process of having Brown declared out for this season and next because of his troubled groin isn't enough to raise a ripple and, with the luxury tax on the horizon, the Celts want to keep their payroll in check as best they can.

``We're just letting nature take its course,'' general manager Chris Wallace said. ``Hopefully we'll see if he can get healthy. That would be the best thing. When he was healthy last year, he helped us a lot.''
