Of all the former Pistons on the Toronto roster Tuesday at the Palace -- including Eric Montross and Jerome Williams -- Jermaine Jackson was probably the happiest to be there.

The former Detroit Mercy star guard is with the Raptors on a 10-day contract, signed Jan. 10, and he hopes to stick around.

Jackson had played 17 games for the Flint Fuze of the Continental Basketball Association when he got the call from Toronto.

"I was thrilled to get the call. It was very inspiring," said Jackson, who didn't play in the Raptors' 92-90 victory. "Like my friends always tell me, keep working hard and great things will come to you."

Jackson was with the Pistons in 1999 and played seven games. Last season he played in Italy for Scaligera Basket Verona.
