There was no second-guessing after Cliff Robinson missed three shots in the final 35 seconds of the Pistons' 92-90 loss to the Raptors on Tuesday.
"I can't complain about that," said Robinson, who scored 16 points but missed 14 of 21 shots. "I just came up a little short. They felt good, and if I get the opportunity again, I will take them again."
With the score tied at 90, Robinson missed an 18-footer after Damon Jones had rebounded his own miss and fed him in the corner. Ben Wallace then pulled down one of his 18 rebounds and gave the ball back to Robinson. This time, his 23-footer rimmed out with 31.3 seconds left.
The question was raised: Would it have been better for Robinson to pull the ball out and reset the offense?
"No, no, no," Robinson said. "There was no hesitation on that. A lot of times, those kick-outs off offensive rebounds are perfect opportunities to take that shot. I was wide open. I just missed."
