There are certain guys in the NBA that you just have to root for.  Erick Strickland is one of them.  Strickland is profiled in a story in the Boston Herald today and it's worth a read.  Here's a guy who was Mark Cuban's supposed 'favorite player' in Dallas but got traded to the Knicks, pined away in New York then walked out on a big guaranteed contract with the Grizzlies because he felt he wanted to earn his money playing for a winner.

After getting the salary cap shaft that so many borderline players got this year and having it cost him a cool 1.5 million, Energy Erick has become a key role player for the vastly improved Celtics.  In this article, Strickland discusses his move to the starting point guard role with regular Kenny Anderson sidelined temporarily.  The nice thing is how well he seems to know his own game.
