Maybe an indication of how restrictive the NBA's salary cap has been on player movement is the whole league seeming to wait in breathless anticipation over where recalcitrant Warrior forward Marc Jackson will end up.  Here's a guy who has played less than half a season, is 27 with stints in Turkey and Spain on his resume and probably doesn't fit as  either a classic center or a power forward.

Rightfully, he should get yawns when he's on the market but still it is surprising to learn in the Indianapolis Star that GM Donnie Walsh didn't even know that Tuesday was Jackson's first day out on the store shelves.  Then again, this was before Jermaine O'Neal went down with a knee twang that had him being carted off the court like George Bush after a pretzel orgy.  "Hello, is that Gary St. Jean?  Donny-baby here, wassup?"
