Initially, it appeared as if history would repeat Saturday afternoon at the Delta Center.

Utah's Karl Malone was playing aggressively, and Kings forward Chris Webber and center Vlade Divac didn't seem to have an answer.

Point guard Mike Bibby had settled into predecessor Jason Williams' role by picking up two quick fouls trying to deal with John Stockton and was muttering to himself as he headed toward the sidelines.

It was all a mirage, however, because shortly thereafter the Kings were cruising to a 114-90 decimation of the Jazz. They'd just handed Utah a 33-point defeat in Sacramento on Thursday night -- and now this.

Not so long ago, Sacramento couldn't seem to beat Utah, losing 19 of 23 games. Now the Kings have the Jazz's number, easily dispatching them for the fifth time in six meetings.
