Chris Broussard of the NY Times reports that Chris Webber said last night that he would have been willing to join the Knicks last summer but that the Knicks ruined any possibility of obtaining him by signing Allan Houston to a six-year contract for $100.4 million in July. "My choices were Indiana and New York and Detroit, and I wanted to come to New York out of all the places besides Sacramento," Webber said. "But I remember they signed Allan and that being the end of it. Everybody knows I was interested in coming here, but I think it was shut off before I was able to come."
