MAGIC UPDATE: After losing five of seven on their last road trip, the Magic have won three straight games, all at TD Waterhouse. They go back on the road for a game Sunday in Philadelphia, then return for two more home games against Milwaukee and Charlotte. The Magic are patching things together again after a left ankle injury to Mike Miller, who is expected to miss a few more weeks. Williams, Miller's replacement, scored a season-high 16 points in Orlando's victory Wednesday night against Phoenix. McGrady is averaging 30.5 points the past three games.

NUGGETS UPDATE: The Nuggets have dropped 10 of their past 13 games, falling to Atlanta on Wednesday night. There isn't much to cheer about for Nuggets fans, but at least star forward Antonio McDyess is rounding into shape after missing the first 54 games because of knee surgery. Denver again is putting a team together on the fly after acquiring Howard and Hardaway from Dallas on Feb. 21.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR: The Magic will have to counter the inside play of McDyess and Howard with their running game and outside shooting. McDyess doesn't have his legs back yet. Hardaway is no longer physically able to keep up with quicker guards. Armstrong will try to atone for his two-point, six-turnover game against the Suns with an active performance. McGrady is the Magic's ace in the hole, as usual.

ETC.: Nuggets guard George McCloud, who left FSU in 1989, has improved his game of late. McCloud, a 12-year vet from Daytona Beach, has scored at least 19 points four times in his past 10 games.
