Just hours after the team returned from Seattle on Thursday night the Memphis Grizzlies fired GM Billy Knight.  The move was labelled a ?shocking development?, with owner Michael Heisley ordering the change.

The Grizzlies did not release concerning the issue and neither team president Dick Versace or Knight would comment on the situation.  It is being reported that the Grizzlies will enter discussions with Lakers great Jerry West about joining the organization.
