The series started off with Celtics forward Paul Pierce making some comments along the lines of ?no New Jersey Net can stop me?, but when the Game 1 show was stolen by Jason Kidd and his Nets it was Pierce who was left feeling as though he has been the victim of some questionable calls of late.

"It's tough because I feel like I'm getting some tough calls out there," Pierce said. "I'm not out there trying to foul. I'm playing the way I try to play, and I feel I get a tough break at times. I don't know why. That's just the way the game is called."

After playing strongly in the first half, Pierce picked up his third and fourth fouls during the third quarter, forcing him to take a seat.  Whilst seated the Nets, Jason Kidd especially, went on their run which helped decide the outcome.

Game 2 is scheduled for today.
