Allan Houston has already been an All-Star twice in his career, but according to Chris Broussard of the New York Times despite having a career year thus far Houston does not believe that he has much chance of making a third trip to All-Star weekend this season.

"This is the highest average I've had going into the All-Star break," Houston said. "I was fortunate enough to start off well. Mentally that helped me get going early in the season and stay at a certain level.

"But our team hasn't done as well as other teams, so it's like the old m.v.p. or the best player thing. I'll just leave it in God's hands. If God wants me to be down there playing the game, I'll be there. If he doesn't, I'll be content, not satisfied, but content with what I've been able to do so far.

"I'm just trying to improve, even after the All-Star Game, because, to me, it's about making the playoffs. As long as I can help this team do that or get close to it, that's all that really matters."
