Forget Paris, and forget Pau, France, as well.

John Paxson isn't going. At least that was the news as of Wednesday afternoon, but it's possible as you're reading this that Paxson is enjoying a salad Nicoise and a bottle of Bordeaux near the Champs Elysees.

Technical glitches, flight cancellations and one draft prospect being suspended for fighting conspired to keep Paxson from live contact with two potential lottery picks, who both play for Pau Orthez. Three times, Paxson planned to make the trip to scout 6-6 Mickael Pietrus and 6-8 Boris Diaw, who are swingmen.

The latest cancellation was Tuesday evening, so Paxson decided he had enough and sent B.J. Armstrong and Pete Myers to France on Wednesday evening. At least that was the plan.

"I would have liked to have gotten on that plane [Tuesday],'' Paxson said. "But there was a glitch.''
