Darrell Armstrong has enjoyed a productive run with the Orlando Magic. But he is fully prepared to take his running, up-tempo style to another team and let coach Doc Rivers bring in another point guard to take his place.

"I'm going to move on and let the Magic have what they want to have, let Doc have his team that he wants to have," Armstrong said Friday at the youth basketball camp that he has conducted for the past five years. "I'm moving on. Sometimes a change is better, and I'm ready for a change."

Claiming that he has "a strong four" seasons left in the NBA, the 35-year-old free agent is exploring his options and hopes to be signed "sometime next week." Armstrong said the New Orleans Hornets have offered him the $1.5 million veteran's exception to back up Baron Davis, while some of the other teams he mentioned -- the Washington Wizards, the Golden State Warriors, the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat -- could be in the market for a starter at his position.
