The 76ers have brought in plenty of scorers to try to take the heat off Allen Iverson. Remember Toni Kukoc? Keith Van Horn? And where is Tim Thomas these days?

The fact is, Iverson couldn't be more gratified to have Glenn Robinson as a teammate this season, someone who has established his scoring prowess over the last nine years.

"Glenn is a better player than all those guys," Iverson said, referring to Kukoc, et al. "Those guys do have skills and are talented, and we trusted them to get the job done. But Glenn is a proven player. He's just better. I think our team is a lot better."

Robinson, who has averaged 20.8 points in his NBA career, said he didn't think it would be difficult for him to play alongside another big-time scorer, noting that he did it in Milwaukee with two others: Ray Allen and Sam Cassell.

"Iverson's been doing his thing for a long time, and that's not going to change," Robinson said. "I'm here to make things easier for him. When they double him, I want him to be comfortable knowing there's a guy in the corner who can make the shot."
