Heat coach Stan Van Gundy isn't so much banking on Dwyane Wade staying healthy for the duration of the team's playoff run. He's addressing the team's immediate needs.

By leaving Bimbo Coles off the playoff roster, Van Gundy is left with the injury-prone Wade and Rafer Alston as the only point guards. And by keeping Wang Zhi-Zhi and Loren Woods active, Van Gundy is preparing to match up with the New Orleans Hornets' deep front line.

Jerome Beasley and John Wallace joined Coles on the inactive list, which means they cannot play in the postseason.

Van Gundy said he didn't heavily weigh the possibility of an injury to Wade when making his decisions, but if Wade does miss time, he is comfortable using other players -- including Lamar Odom and Caron Butler -- to handle the ball.
