knicks.realgm.com writer Tim Kelly will be attending the NBA Draft live at New York and will be posting his experiences tomorrow. In the meantime he analyzes a few of the rumors preceding the draft:

KT to Dallas for Jerry Stackhouse (which could be combined with Dallas' trading Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard, and the 5th pick for Shaq, giving them a lethal starting 5 of Steve Nash, Mike Finley, Antoine Walker, Kurt Thomas, and Shaq.) Thomas has also been discussed in a deal for the Maverick's Antoine Walker.

KT to Seattle for Jerome James and the 12th pick is a deal Isiah might push strongly for if any of the HSers are available at pick 12 (Josh Smith, JR Smith, Robert Swift). Each player brings different things to the table (Josh Smith is a high-flying forward compared to Vince Carter; JR Smith is an athletic 2 who has 3-point range; Swift is a throwback C who is a legit 7-footer and could be a franchise C). Isiah has an eye for talent, witnessed by his drafting Tracy McGrady out of high school when he was with the Toronto Raptors. Thomas could also go with a polished college swingman, either Luke Jackson from Oregon or Kirk Snyder from Nevada.
