Micheal Ray Richardson probably had more natural talent than any other Knick point guard, including Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe, even Stephon Marbury.

But in 1986, because of a cocaine habit, Richardson went from four-time NBA all-star to the first player banned from the league for drug use.

Now Richardson talks to kids about what drugs did to him and what it could do to them too if they fall into the trap.

"The strongest message is talking to them about what I went through," Richardson said. "Life and drugs don't mix. You let the kids know I was a great basketball player and I got in trouble being in the wrong place at the wrong time, hanging out with the wrong people. You've got to pick and choose the people you hang out with and places you go."
