Isiah Thomas wants Jamal Crawford.  John Paxson was cap relief.  This much we have worked out, right?

Today's New York Post contains one of the most bizarre articles that you'll read this season.  In light of the information that we know above, Marc Berman writes that Thomas' latest proposal asked for Scottie Pippen to be included, replacing either Eddie Robinson or Jerome Williams.

The problem here is Pippen is now in the final year of his two year tenture with the Bulls.  He, unlike Robinson (2 years) or Jerome Williams (3 years), is an expiring contract.  Why would Paxson, after putting the deal on hold after Moochie Norris' three year contract was added, accept a deal where he retains his longer, high salaried contracts in favor of trading away his expiring contract?

Don't hold your breath for this combination to go down anytime soon.
