The Knicks will have Sunday and Monday off and Allan Houston appears likely to be in uniform on Tuesday in Memphis against new head coach Mike Fratello.

The Knicks probably won't practice on Sunday, but Houston will get one more scrimmage Monday. If Houston plays in Memphis, he will have missed the season's first 16 games.

However, Houston was in no mood last night to discuss his timetable. He answered just one question before bolting, saying the decision is now out of his hands.

"It's not up to me anymore," said Houston, who resumed practicing with the team nearly two weeks ago. "That's all I'll say. You understand what I'm saying and misinterpreting stuff. It's not up to me. It's up to Isiah [Thomas] and our trainers. It's not up to me anymore."

Last weekend, Houston had pointed to this trip for his possible return, but on Tuesday, he shockingly said he could need another two weeks and two or three more scrimmages.
