The Orlando Magic have place forward Grant Hill on the Injured List due to a bruised left shin, General Manager John Weisbrod announced on Friday.  The Magic were granted an exception to have a fourth player on the Injured List (Doug Christie, Andrew DeClercq and Hedo Turkoglu are also on the Injured List).  

In addition, Orlando has signed Mark Jones for the remainder of the season.  Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.  He will be in uniform for Orlando?s game vs. Detroit on Friday.

Hill played and started in 67 games this season for the Magic, averaging 19.7 ppg., 4.7 rpg., 3.3 apg. and a team-best 1.45 stlpg. in 34.9 minpg.  He also shot .509 (517-1,015 FG) from the floor and .821 (280-341 FT) from the free throw line.  Hill was named a starter for the Eastern Conference in the 2005 NBA All-Star Game, the seventh time during his career he has been named to the mid-season classic.  He was also named the NBA?s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 21, 2004.
