After having surgery two weeks ago to remove bone spurs and fragments, Doug Christie stressed that it would be ?extremely difficult? to return to play for the Magic next season.

Magic general manager John Weisbrod is now planning on flying to Seattle to meet with Dough Christie and discuss his latest comments.

"I think I understand the kid well enough to know why he is feeling this way," Weisbrod said. "He was in a situation in Sacramento where everything was positive and it was an adjustment for him to come here. To see the way he's been depicted at times I'm sure is upsetting to him. The communication breakdown is that he thinks the organization, or me personally, play a role in how he's depicted."
