The defending champion Detroit Pistons got a first quarter scare from the Philadelphia 76ers, trailing 28-16 at the end of the first 12:00.  They recovered in the 2nd quarter to take a two point lead into the half.

The second half was a complete domination, as the Pistons rolled to a 106-85 win.

Rasheed Wallace had 29 points and 10 rebounds, while TayShaun Prince scored 23.

Allen Iverson scored 29 points on 9-22 shooting, including 4-8 from 3-point land.  Chris Webber was impressive, scoring 27 points.

The Sixers must be disappointed with the result, particulary after they played so well in the first quarter.  They had an opportunity to steal a Game 1 as they did in the 2001 NBA Finals at Los Angeles.
