David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune reports that on Tuesday restricted free agent center Eddy Curry made it through his second workout this week, his first physical activity since a heart condition sidelined him March 30.

"It felt great," Curry said after breaking a sweat at Hoops the Gym under the guidance of trainer Tim Grover. "I had no problem with my heart at all."

Noted cardiologist David Cannom cleared Curry to resume exercising last week after a face-to-face meeting in Los Angeles, the first hurdle necessary for Curry to clear as he aims to resume his NBA career.

Curry returned to Chicago committed to shedding the 10 pounds he had gained during his forced vacation and proving to the Bulls he would be worth the sizable investment they plan to make the restricted free agent. Tuesday he cleared another small but significant hurdle.

Just as significantly, Curry said he wanted to wait and see the Bulls' contract offer before deciding whether he wants to entertain the possibility of visiting another team that is interested. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks contacted Curry within the opening hours of free agency last Friday, and the Bulls have exchanged information with Curry's agent, Leon Rose, on parameters for a contract.
