Just one day after Ernie Grunfeld said there is a "no time frame" for extending Eddie Jordan's contract, the Sacramento Bee listed Jordan as a potential candidate to coach the Sacramento Kings in a report.

Jordan was hired by owner Abe Pollin before Grunfeld assumed duties as president of basketball operations.

Jordan was an assistant with the Kings for five seasons before becoming head coach with 15 games remaining in the 1996-97 season.  Adelman was hired during that summer before the start of the 1997-1998 campaign.
