Washington Wizards head coach Eddie Jordan will coach the Eastern Conference All-Stars for the 2007 NBA All-Star Game, to be played on Sunday, Feb. 18, at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Jordan and the Wizards? (27-18, .600) coaching staff earned the honor to coach the East as a result of the Cleveland Cavaliers? (26-20, .565) 92-89 loss to the Miami Heat this evening at AmericanAirlines Arena. The Suns previously clinched the best winning-percentage through games of Feb. 4 and Mike D?Antoni and his staff will coach the Western Conference All-Stars.

Head coaches for the East and West All-Star teams are based on teams with the best winning-percentage in each conference following the Sunday games (Feb. 4) played two weeks prior to the NBA All-Star Game. Dallas Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson and Detroit Pistons head coach Flip Saunders are not eligible to coach in the 2007 NBA All-Star Game because they coached in last year?s All-Star Game.
