Texas freshman star Kevin Durant limped into the locker room with an apparent ankle injury with about 11 minutes remaining in the Longhorns' game Saturday at Kansas, but returned to the game a short time later.

Durant, who missed about 4 minutes, seemed to be limping slightly when he returned.

Durant, who scored 25 points in the first half, had 27 for the game when he drove the lane and pulled up for a short shot. He fell to the floor as Kansas raced back with the rebound, tried to get up and fell to the floor again. He hobbled away.

The only player to rank in the top 10 nationally in both scoring and rebonding, Durant is a leading candidate for national player of the year and considered a possible No. 1 NBA pick if he decides to go to the pros.
