Former Spurs draft pick Luis Scola on Monday was named the 2007 Player of the Year in the Spanish ACB, the world's best basketball league outside the NBA.

Scola who also won the award in 2005, helped Tau Ceramica finish atop the regular-season standings with a 26-8 record.

"I am very happy, it is a very nice prize," said Scola, who also helped Argentina win the gold medal in the 2004 Olympics. "To win it over all of these players is very difficult."
