Many believe that Pistons' president Joe Dumars made the Allen Iverson trade to put his team in position to court LeBron James when he becomes a free agent in 2010, but he claims the deal simply made Detroit better.

Dumars said that the fact the trade could help the Pistons get at least $21 million under the salary cap this summer was secondary.

Dumars can't announce what free agents he covets while they are still under contract with other teams, per league rules.
