Danilo Gallinari, who earlier this week was expected to miss a month of action, will be out four to six weeks due to a bulging disk in his back.

After being examined by specialists on Thursday and receiving his third cortisone shot since September, Gallinari will rest over the next handful of weeks.

"I'm not going to say we're not concerned, but so far it's been pretty consistent from the doctors that looked at him, that they don't think surgery is required," Knicks' president Donnie Walsh said.

Gallinari claims that he's starting to feel better.

"Not perfect, but better," Gallinari said in reference to his back. "I didn't rest much the first time. I probably have to rest more this time. I think from four to six weeks. This is the problem. I just have to live with it."
