The Celtics were hoping to have four All-Stars and figured they'd have at least three, but just two members of the defending-champions are headed to Phoenix.

Paul Pierce was named as a reserve on Thursday night, meaning he'll join Kevin Garnett, who was voted in as a starter by the fans, on the Eastern squad.

Boston was hoping Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo would make the team, and the "snub" of Allen has left coach Doc Rivers upset.

"No comment. Very disappointed," Rivers told the Boston Globe via text message.
