Rasheed Wallace was ejected in the second quarter of Boston's close loss to Philadelphia on Friday night.

After the game, Celtics center Kendrick Perkins admitted that losing Wallace hurt the team.

"It affected us a lot, we need Rasheed," Perkins said. "It showed we can use him, in a lot of ways. Still, in all, we should have won the game."

Celtics coach Doc Rivers has been asked about Wallace's propensity for technicals a lot so far this season, but has maintained his stance.

"Listen, I can [talk to Wallace]. And I will a little bit. But, I'm not going to have a summit, I can tell you that," Rivers said.

"It's too early. He's been doing it a long time. He's an expert at it. But we knew that when we got him, and I still love him. I think he's great, he's been great for our team, but he's going to have some of these days."

Wallace is averaging 9.4 points and 3.8 rebounds for Boston, who was 20-5 through Friday night.
