The Knicks have officially waived forward Brian Cardinal.

New York acquired Cardinal from the Timberwolves earlier this week in exchange for Darko Milicic.

"President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that the team has waived forward Brian Cardinal," the team wrote on their official Twitter page.
