Jonathan Bender's return to the NBA is over, at least for this season.

Bender, who signed with the Knicks in December, will have surgery on his broken ring finger and miss the remainder of the year.

He didn't impress during his 25-game stint in New York and the Knicks aren't expected to re-sign him.
