When asked about the future of forward David Lee, Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni was surprisingly guarded.

"I love David Lee," D'Antoni said. "I love guys that have that talent. But we have to wait and see about all these guys."

D'Antoni has feuded with a host of players during his relatively short tenure in New York, but appears to have always supported Lee.

The forward is averaging 20.3 points and 11.9 rebounds, but critics knock him because the Knicks have never won more than 32 games in his career.

"I understand the discussion because if you're on a bad team somebody has to put the points up and you can go through all those 'why the stats are inflated,' " D'Antoni said. "At the same time he's one of the best offensive players. I don't see that it's something he can't do going forward on any team."
