Lakers coach Phil Jackson was fined $35,000 by the NBA on Monday for publicly criticizing game officials following Sunday's loss to the Spurs.

Three fouls, two technical and one personal, were called on the Lakers in a matter of seconds near the end of the second period.

San Antonio finished the half on an 8-0 run.

"The way we ended up the half I think turned the referees against us and when you do that, that's an unfortunate thing," Jackson added. "Ron [Artest] didn't back off and didn't read that official well enough to know, you got to back off, you got to lighten the load, he's not going to take any more of that. [Manu] Ginobili forced the issue and got the calls."
