The Bulls defeated the Bobcats 98-89 to secure the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Raptors did secure a 131-113 victory over the Knicks Wednesday, but received no help from Charlotte.

The Bulls have now qualified for the playoffs for the fifth time in six seasons.
