Danny Ferry spoke with Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski shortly after the announcement of his resignation as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"Since the loss to Boston, there had been the uncertainty with Mike (Brown?s) situation and my own. I pushed to make a decision now that the organization can start to move forward. I think we've done things at a high level here, and I feel good about that.

"We have a great owner and a good foundation. I feel like we're leaving this in a better place than it was five years ago."

Ferry was asked about his future as a general manager with another team.

"We'll let things evolve, but I'll look at opportunities if they arise."
