The Grizzlies have strongly denied rumors that they are looking to trade O.J. Mayo.

The most recent report linked Memphis to New York, who wanted the Grizzlies to send Mayo to the Nuggets in a potential Carmelo Anthony blockbuster.

Memphis general manager Chris Wallace said he hasn't had any conversations with New York or Denver in that regard.

Mayo's name has popped up in rumors ever since he was moved to the bench.

"Every day you look at the gossip and you look on those blogs and there are all kinds of possibilities that could happen in this league," he said.

"But most of the time they don't happen. When something gets done it's usually unexpected. ... I'm trying to turn this around and get us a playoff opportunity."
