The Mavericks have signed Peja Stojakovic, but they aren't sure when the veteran will make his debut with the team.

Stojakovic hasn't played a game since Nov. 26 because of irritation in his left knee.

He will be inactive for Tuesday's game against the Clippers and isn't likely to face the Rockets on Thursday.

"I feel OK," Stojakovic said. "It's just that I haven't played basketball for four or five weeks. It's more getting into the playing shape. It's something that I have to work with the trainers and the coaches and keep progressing. We'll make a decision then."

He described his knee problem as "nothing major," saying it caused swelling that lingered longer than expected but shouldn't be a problem if managed properly.
