No. 13 Georgetown hung on to beat Providence 83-81 despite 43 points from Marshon Brooks on Saturday afternoon.

The Hoyas had an 18-point lead at one point in the second half, but held on for their sixth straight win.

Brooks, who scored a career-high, had the most points in a game by a Big East player this season.

He went 17 of 28 from the field and 7 for 10 from the free-throw line, and he also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Friars.
