Jeff Green talked to the media about joining the Celtics during his first shootaround with the team.

"It’s an honor," said Green. "There's a lot of history behind the name that’s on this jersey. I'm proud to be a Celtic."

Boston will play the Clippers on Saturday night in their first game with Green and Nenad Krstic.

"I'm happy to be in the situation I am now," said Green.

Green believes the Celtics have the "same goal to win a championship" as the Thunder have.

Green feels comfortable playing both the small forward and power forward positions for the Celtics.

Several Celtics were very upset to lose Kendrick Perkins, but they have embraced Green in his arrival.

"They've welcomed me with open arms and I'm glad to be here," said Green.
